Oven-Baked Chicken Shawarma with Dahab Classic Toum

Tender, juicy chicken baked with warm spices and Dahab Classic Toum.

Ingredients

  • 1–1.25 lb chicken thighs, sliced thin
  • 3 Tbsp Dahab Classic Toum
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 1½ tsp paprika
  • ¾ tsp cumin
  • ¾ tsp coriander
  • ½ tsp turmeric
  • ¾ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • Pinch of cinnamon (optional)

Optional for serving: pita, onions with sumac, tomatoes, cucumbers, pickles, parsley, extra Dahab Classic Toum.

Instructions

  1. Mix Dahab Classic Toum, olive oil, lemon juice, and spices in a bowl.

  2. Add the chicken and coat evenly. Marinate for 30 minutes to 4 hours.

  3. Preheat the oven to 425°F.

  4. Spread the chicken on a baking sheet and bake for 16–20 minutes, stirring halfway.

  5. Broil for 2–3 minutes to brown the edges.

  6. Serve with pita, veggies, and extra toum.
